Professor Mauro Pezzè participated in the 2024 Future Trustworthiness Technology Summit, organized by Huawei in Munich, Germany.

 

The event was a resounding success, with over 100 offline attendees and 10,000 online participants,, with live translations into Chinese. Prof. Pezzè’s presentation titled “The future of software testing in the era of LLMs”, explored the profound effects of LLMs on software testing, outlining key research directions and the impact on industry practices.

 

Key topics of the talk included: testing AI-powered systems that continuously evolve; the challenges in verifying AI-generated code; the transformation of test automation through LLMs; and the effects on human roles, testing teams, and education.
