According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, Switzerland is the 7th best country in Europe, with 234 courses ranked. Notably, 29 subjects are in the world’s top 10, and the country ranks 4th globally for top 10 subjects.

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) leads in geophysics, geology, and earth sciences, while hospitality education is dominated by Swiss institutes like the EHL Hospitality Business School. The University of Zurich and the University of Bern also rank high in dentistry, and EPFL is among the best in engineering and technology.

Swiss graduates are highly valued by international employers, with their reputation increasing by 29% compared to last year.
